Use your own Orbit API key with search:read and profile:read scopes. The public MCP provides search_people, get_profile, and enrich_profile. Read the current person context. Batch enrichment, watchers, and webhooks remain available through the REST API. OAuth sign-in is not available on the public MCP.
Smithery connection: paste just your sk_orb_ API key in the Orbit API key field. Create a key at https://developer.orbitsearch.com/dashboard/keys. Existing Bearer-formatted values still work. For Smithery Connect API clients, pass your key in x-orbit-authorization; Smithery forwards it securely in the Authorization header. The managed connection uses the same public v3 MCP endpoint.
Orbit uses usage-based credits. Customers connect their own Orbit API key, and Orbit applies charges under their account plan.
